Civil Services Examination, 2011
The Union Public Service Commission will hold the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2011 on 12/06/2011 for recruitment to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and certain other Group 'A' and Group 'B' Central Services/Posts. The examination will be held at various centers across the country.
Educational Qualification:
Degree from a recognized University or its equivalent.Age Limit:
21-30 years (Relaxation as per rules).Physical Standards:
Candidate must be physically fit according to the Regulations (View Employment News Paper 19/02/2011)Maximum Number of Attempts:
- General Category: 04 (Four)
- P.H. Candidates belonging to General Category: 07 (Seven)
- Other Backward Classes: 07 (Seven)
- Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST): No Limit
Examination Fee:
- Candidates applying Online will pay fee of Rs. 50/- only either by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facilities of SBI or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
- Candidates applying Offline (through Common Application Form) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/- only through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only.
- Female/SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment of Fee.
How to Apply:
- The Online Applications can be filled up to 21/03/2011 till 11.59 p.m.
- Offline applications must reach the 'Controller of Examinations, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi - 110 069" either by hand or by Post/Speed or by Courier, on or before 21/03/2011.
- Candidate residing abroad or in certain remote localities specified in the Notice the last date for receipt of applications by Post/Speed Post only (not by Hand or by Courier) is 28/03/2011.
