Walk in Interview for Research Scientist 'B' Recruitment 2011
The National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research (NCAOR) is looking for prospective candidates for filling up the following position under the project “Geological and Tectonic Evolution of the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal sectors of the Northern Indian Ocean”. The position is purely temporary on contract basis under the project mode, initially for a period of one year. Candidate fulfilling the eligibility conditions are invited to attend the walk-in-interview at NCAOR on 11.04.2011 (Monday) (from 9.30 AM onwards).
Research Scientist ‘B’ (01 Post)
- Educational Qualification:
- Essential: Master’s degree in Geophysics / Applied Geophysics/ Marine Geophysics/ Geology / Applied Geology/ Marine Sciences / Oceanography/ Earth Sciences from a recognized university with at least 60% marks at Graduation or Post Graduation level.
- Desirable: Knowledge of programming language and working knowledge of UNIX and / or LINUX.
- Experience: Experience in geophysical data acquisition (Seismic/ Gravity/ Magnetic)/ processing and interpretation.
- Age: Not exceeding 35 years (Relaxation as per Government rules.).
- Salary: 36,000/- p.m. (Consolidated)
