Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies Kolkata, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Culture, economic and political administrative developments in Asia from the middle of the 19th century onwards with special emphasis on their links with India. Institute has invited applications from eligible & interested candidates for the following post:

Pay Scale: Rs. 37,400-67,000/- + Grade Pay Rs. 8,900/- + Usual allowances
Age: Below 55 years
Probation Period: One year
Educational & other required Qualification: Doctorate Degree in History/ Social Sciences. Published research work of high merit related to any major Asian country in the field of History/ Social Sciences. At least ten years of teaching and research experience, including administrative experience in a responsible position for at least five years.
Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of Persian/ Turkic/ Thai/ Russian/ Indonesian language.
