NIC Recruitment July 2011, Scientific Officer/ Engineer SB vacancies in National Informatics Centre (NIC): Online applications are invited by National Informatics Centre - NIC (A premier IT organization of Government of India) for the post of Scientific Officer/Engineer-SB. Eligible candidates are required to apply online through the official website of NIC (www.recruitment.nic.in) between 16/07/2011 and 05/08/2011.

Pay Scale for Scientific Officer/Engineer-SB: PB-2 Rs. 9300-34800/- + Grade Pay Rs. 4600/- with usual allowances like DA, HRA etc. as per Government of India orders from time to time (Total emoluments Rs.33,439/-p.m. approximately in ‘A’ Class cities). The place of posting can be anywhere in the country.

Total number of vacancies: 62 (SC-06, ST-09, OBC-16, UR-31)

Qualification and Experience for Scientific Officer/Engineer-SB Posts:
(i) B.E./B.Tech/MCA with first class or minimum 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent and specialization in Computer Science/Computer related areas.
OR
(ii) M.Sc in Computer Science with first class or at least 60% marks or equivalent.
OR
(iii) Master’s degree in Physics/Maths/Statistics/Operation Research with either Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science from a Govt. recognized institution/University or at least three years of experience in the areas indicated under Job Description is essential. The Master’s degree and Post Graduate Diploma should be with minimum 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade.

Age Limit: 18-30 years as on last date of receipt applications. Age relaxation as per Government rules.
